In Assam's Dhubri district, over 150 individuals have been arrested following communal unrest after Eid-ul-Zuha, according to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Sarma disclosed that the mastermind behind recent provocations near a temple, identified as Mintu Ali, is still at large as authorities ramp up efforts to stabilize the region.
The chief minister is considering a permanent base of the Indian Army in Dhubri to strengthen security measures and has declared a zero-tolerance policy towards communal violence.
